The HR-V is gaining popularity as an economical choice for utility and efficiency. Sporty in appearance, it checks many boxes when you need a smaller SUV that does more for its size. Three trims make up the 2019 model line: LX, Sport, and Touring.

The 2019 Honda HR-V’s Updated Styling Meets Practical Exterior Features

With aerodynamic styling and sleek lines, the exterior looks like its larger cousin, the CR-V. Each trim has plenty of standard exterior features that make it a practical choice for Canadian roads. The all-season tires on 17-inch wheels provide close traction in changing road conditions and the body-coloured mirrors keep your viewing angles clear in winter weather.

The Sport trim upgrades to multi-tone black wheels, LED turn indicators, roof rails, a power moonroof, and more. The Touring model adds auto on/off LED headlights, LED fog lights, and body-coloured lower garnish.

Several available packages offer additional exterior features.

An Efficient and Thoughtful Interior for the 2019 Honda HR-V

A gas-sipping 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque is standard in each trim. The front-wheel-drive LX (with optional AWD) maintains a low fuel consumption rating of 8.4/7.0 l/100 km (city/highway) and AWD models achieve an overall average of between 8.2-8.5 l/100 km.

The seamless CVT transmission adds efficiency with a wider range of gear ratios, making gear changes very precise. The HR-V offers a dynamic drive, but you’ll feel less of the imperfections in the road with the HR-V’s MacPherson strut front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension.

When you sit inside an HR-V for the first time, you will notice a sense of roominess. Headroom clearance averages just under 1,000 mm and legroom is compatible with much larger vehicles. The 60/40 Split Second-Row Magic Seat folds upward to allow the vertical storage of cargo and flattens when you need full capacity.

In all trims, Honda includes advanced technology available in top model lines, such as the Display Audio System with HondaLink Next Generation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Siri Eyes Free, and more.

There are more unique features available in the Sport and Touring models, but they’re best experienced in person.
